Our Symposium is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, breakout areas, social gatherings and online social media.
We believe all participants at this Symposium have:
● The right to be safe from harassment or discrimination in all its forms
● The right to fully engage in all the activities on offer
● The right to have any complaints or concerns investigated, regardless of career position
We ask everyone to help us maintain an inclusive, safe event for all attendees by agreeing to the common principles of our Code of Conduct:
● being courteous, respectful and professional towards others
● valuing the diversity of participants, their views and opinions
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please speak to a member of Ecological Continuity Trust staff or you can send a confidential email to Ben Sykes to report a concern.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in harassing behaviour, the Symposium organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund.
