The Resilient Landscapes and Seas Symposium 2026: Collaborating at scale for nature and people is taking place in the Science Building of the Royal Botanic Gardens.
Getting to the venue
The Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh Science Building address is: 20a Inverleith Row, Edinburgh, EH3 5LR.
Please note: there is no direct access to the Science Building from within the Botanic Gardens. Access is via Inverleith Row only.

Arriving by car
The venue does not have a designated car park, so we recommend you only drive if you have no other option. There are a very limited number of metered parking spaces on some of the roads surrounding the Botanic Gardens, costing £1 per hour or £11.20 for up to 9 hours:
Inverleith Place
Inverleith Terrace
Carrington Road
East Fettes Avenue
Please note, other metered parking bays in the vicinity allow for up to 4 hours stay. More information can be found here: Parking spaces – The City of Edinburgh Council.
There are three disabled parking bays close to the East Gate of the Botanic Garden on Inverleith Row.
Taxis can drop off outside the Science Building.
By Bicycle
There are bicycle racks close to the entrance of the Science Building.
By Bus
Most buses leave the city centre from Edinburgh Bus Station which is on St Andrew Square in the city centre, 1.2 miles from the venue. See Traveline Scotland to plan your journey. The venue is served by the following buses from Edinburgh city centre: 8, 3, 29, 27 (bus stops on Inverleith Row). See Lothian Buses.
Accessibility
We aim to ensure that this event is inclusive for everyone.
We recognise hidden disability schemes such as the sunflower lanyard should you choose to wear one, although we are unable to provide one. Should you require assistance, please email Cathy Rose in advance or speak to a member of the Ecological Continuity Trust staff on the day. If you have any specific access needs, please let us know during the registration process so that we can help make your visit as enjoyable as possible.
The Lecture Theatre and Conference room are on the ground floor of the building and are fully wheelchair accessible
Assistance dogs are welcome
A hearing loop is available in the Lecture Theatre.
One accessible toilet is located on the ground floor of the Science Building
