The Resilient Landscapes and Seas Symposium 2026 is taking place in the Science Building of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Inverleith Row, Edinburgh, EH3 5LR.
Getting to the venue
There are two entrances: West Gate on Arboretum Place (EH3 5NZ) and the East Gate on Inverleith Row (EH3 5LP), the Science Building is closer to the East Gate.
Carparking, bicycle stands, and taxi pick up/drop off points are available at each gate.

Metered on-street parking is available nearby at John Hope Gateway
Six disabled parking spaces are to the left of this entrance

Taxis stop at this gate next to the entrance where there is easy access into the John Hope Gateway Visitor Centre
A freephone is available to a local taxi company at the Information desk
East Gate on Inverleith Row (EH3 5LP)
Buses- 8, 9, 23 and 27 from the city centre

Metered parking is available
Three disabled parking spaces are opposite to the left of this entrance
There is a pedestrian crossing
Taxis can stop on the roadside outside this entrance and there is a free phone to call taxis at the East Gate Lodge on departure. Please ask a Visitor Welcome member of staff
Accessibility
We aim to ensure that this event is inclusive for everyone. We recognise hidden disability schemes such as the sunflower lanyard should you choose to wear one, although we are unable to provide one. Should you wish assistance, please do contact us, or speak to us on the day.
The Lecture Theatre and Conference room are fully wheelchair accessible (but does this mean it is on the ground floor, or using a lift?)
Assistance animals are welcome
There are three portable loops located at the John Hope Gateway shop counter, the East Gate Visitor Welcome counter and Inverleith House reception desk
Accessible toilets are available in the science building
